I feel like some people think that bullying can only happen to a certain type of person and that is totally wrong. Bullying can happen to anyone and it can be very scary. The worst thing you can thing is that its your own fault, its not and nobody deserves to be bullied. It can make you feel alone and isolated but you're not, reach out and talk to someone about it. It can be hard to remember the positive things about yourself when people are only pointing out the worst, just remember all the things you're good at. You're a valuable person. Surround yourself with people who love and care for you, it will help boost your confidence and make you feel good. Friends never fail to make you smile. I know about the whole "bullies are going through a hard time and that's why they bully" sometimes is hard to believe, happy people don't need to make others feel down to feel happy its the bullies with the problem. One thing that I thinks important is not to fight them back. Don't stoop down to their level. Get out of the situation and tell someone. If its cyber bullying don't reply to the nasty comment, screenshot them for evidence to show someone. If you're being bullied you need to tell someone, you don't deserve it and you can put an end to it. You're not alone and its not your fault. STOP Out Bullying is a really good site for advice and things to do. The link is here: STOP Out Bullying Telling somebody is super important and there's so many ways to do it, it could include:
Childline is a great support, I know everyone's thinking "Childline? That's for children" but it goes up to the age of 19 and has a great page on bullying here: bullying page Remember- you are NOT alone and people care about you. Nobody deserves to be bullied, if you know someone that's being bullied reach out and help them, I'm sure you would want the same. Personally i have been bullied from time to time, in many ways i think everyone has been through it or at least know a few people who has. Whether that's being bullied at school from name calling, or actually at work. I know many people associate bullying with just school children but it can happen to anyone at any age. -Emily & Amy

Starting college So recently i have started college and i have to tell you don't worry about it. Now on the first day i was very nervous and excited. I only had to be there for one hour which i believe was really nice because it sort of broke the ice to college.
Its very different from school, for a start you get to call your teacher, sorry lecturer by their first name. Now this at first i really couldn't get to grips with. I kept on forgetting the lecturers name and forget who i was even sat by. The best thing to do is talk to new people. Don't be sitting there shy because no one will go up and talk to you. This is a new time to make new friends and enjoy yourself, not keeping to yourself and wanting to go home. The thing i have noticed considerably is that everyone is on their phone and i don't mean just a quick glance i mean constant eyes glued to the screen. Now as a person who doesn't have an iphone this can be a bit errr. Because you know whats it like if you don't have the latest phone or trainers you feel out of sync with everyone. Don't worry about it. No one is even bothered. Another thing i noticed was the amount of clothes you go through, when having a school uniform you already know what you was going to wear, when at college it is so hard. Because you're constantly thinking that isn't in fashion, or that doesn't look good on me. But to be honest here just be yourself, if you're overweight and have a crop top why not wear it. Or if you have nothing to wear apart from an old t shirt you go for it. Just be yourself and don't pretend to be someone else. If you don't have a job, don't worry about it. I cant be the only one whose mum is constantly on their back to find you a job, i'm not to bothered if i have a job or not. So just don't worry, if you're the same as me and you are applying but nothing is happening for you keep getting turned down, don't whatever you do get down about it. There's obviously another job you are meant for not the one you got turned down. If you're worried about if you're going to make friends or what type of people you are going to mix with, college is all about experiments and if you want to hang around people who are a lot different to you, try it. And one note of advice about work, keep up to date and if you don't understand something ask, don't worry if it sounds stupid, just ask because someone is also not understanding the subject the same as you. I hope this really helps anyone who is at or going to college soon. If you have any question sabout college all you have to do is comment your question and i will get back to you. I hope you have an amazing week. -Amy So you’re having a bad day? Everyone gets one sometimes, its how you deal with those bad days that are important. One main thing you have to remember is your worst day ever is only twenty four hours long and everything seems better the next day. Even if you have to go in small ten minute chunks and distract yourself from what’s going on that’s fine, you’ll get through it.
Don’t forget to breathe, all problems are valid no matter how big or small and there’s a lot of people out there willing to listen. Even if you haven’t spoken to a friend in a while I’m sure they would care and listen to you. Talking about things can lift a massive weight off your shoulders so try it, it could be a family member or a friend. If things are really bad maybe consider a counsellor or something like childline or 7 cups of tea (links below). Do things you’ve been meaning to do if you feel up to it, go and eat something, brush your hair, doing something this simple can make you feel so much better. Try listening to music you know will cheer you up and wrap a blanket around you and eat some chocolate. Have a nice warm bath and enjoy it, do something relaxing and try to take your mind off things. If this is the worst day, things can only get better. Think optimistically, you’ll get through this day and go on to have many, many better ones. Someone out there loves you and don’t forget that. Childline (up to the age of 19) 7 cups of tea -Emily We’ve recently entered my favourite season, autumn, and I’m going to talk about a few reasons why I love it so much. The trees look so pretty, all the leaves turn an orangey red colour and it’s beautiful, not mentioning how satisfying it is when they fall off and they’re crunchy when you step on them. When it’s cold it’s great to have a hot chocolate and warm up with blankets on, that’s really hard to do in summer if you don’t want to melt. You can get so cozy on the sofa and in bed with blankets. It’s the perfect excuse for hot drinks. You can also layer up your clothes which I also love, you can wear jackets and jumpers without feeling like you’re on fire. Some good TV comes back like the x factor and staying in and snuggling up with a good TV show or film is perfectly acceptable. Even the thought of reading a book tucked up in a blanket excites me. That’s why I love autumn so much and I hope everyone is exited as me for the coming months.
-Emily So, i thought what would be really nice to have on a blog was monthly favourites. Every month many youtubers do this and as im one for not being in front of the camera, i'll do it this way. Im going to start off with make up, so i have trouble with my lips. So any hint of a bold colour just overpowers my face and makes me look like a clown. But i have found a lipgloss that doesn't do this. So if you're like me then this coca cola lip balm cherry coloured, is perfect for you. It's a bit like that lipo stain thing where the colour of it is similar. Perfect for going into an autumn look.
Nail polish is a new thing for me as well. I've never been one to look after my nails or even consider doing so, but after prom that all changed. I had small false nails on for the night and i really didn't want them to ever come off, they made me feel like elegant and just... I have recently bought the primark own brand nail polish and i have to say they are alright. Not brilliant quality but for 80p what can you expect. The colour it quite runny but all it takes is about two coates of the stuff and away you go. I bought the baby pink and baby blue and these two colours really are quite something. Now for what i love, food. Recently i was shopping with my mum and nan in iceland and i came across a new pizza in there. Now there's nothing better than stuffed crust, but it has to be cheese stuffed crust. It is soooo lovely. So i saw the pizza because we usually had the chicago town pizza but recently it became very spicy and as for one to be needing a drink for a chicken tikka masala curry. You can imagine how many times i had to have a drink. So this iceland pizza is brilliant and for quite a low price. All you got to do is add the toppings you want of the pizza or just leave it as it is. Now onto drink. Now i'm not one for drinking every night like every other teenager and then bragging about it when they meet up with their friends just to seem cool. I really like water, there i said it. But i do, and what better way to have water but to have flavoured water. Now literally any supermarket sells them for like 60p a bottle, it's a bargain. There's nothing better than the sun shinning down in the back garden and i'm sat there with a book and a my mason jar flavored water. Tv series i absolutely love, and if you watch the same ones as me then we will be talking for hours. So now then my brother has recently introduced me into a new tv series, well its kinda new. "Bad education" is such a brilliant show. I find it hilarious especially with Jack Whitehall in it, as for watching fresh meat as well, its really good. Another tv show to watch recently, yes you guessed it "pretty little liars" so the season final, the latest episode, was absolutely amazing, it had me glued to the tv whilst i was actually writing this down in my notebook. Just, you have to watch it. Thank you for reading and i hope you have a lovely morning, day, evening, wherever you are in the world. Amy |
