So its november now which means christmas is on the way. But that also means that halloween has gone now. Now, im not a big fan of halloween because i just find that it's either for children dressing up or having a party. And well i've never been to a house party so you can tell my halloween night consisted of the x factor. As this year halloween was on a monday i thought what would be nice was on the saturday evening to watch a scary movie. I ended up watching halloween which is one of the movies on my list.
So, lets get started with music. I have been loving this month 5 songs. These are: Choose by JPB, On my mind by don diablo, War and peace by hex cougar, High with me by yatzel, Honey by kucka. Im not going to talk about them just a brief wearabouts that i like them. Link to blog post about songs. For beauty this month it has been all about the zoella body scrub pot. I love the packaging of the product and the quality is the best ive knows a body scrub to have. It leaves your skin smooth and the pot lasts a long time. I have also loved this month the fall from the leaves and trees. I never realised what such of an autumnal person i am but this month i have been loving it. I even took a picture on my instagram about how much i love the leaves. WARNING SPOILER - if you haven't seen the walking dead season 7 premier. Now, for entertainment as i hope everyone reading this is aware that the walking dead season 7 premier came out and what a premier it was. I just want to talk about how much i love the show and how no one despite what they are saying now no one saw glen's death appealing. I loved the opening to the season and cant wait to watch a new episode each week. Thank you for reading and im really sorry for such a short blog post but with starting work and college assignments due in i haven't really had much time to be trying new and exciting things. Thank you for reading and if there is anything you would like us to blog about let us know. Or leave a comment here and we promise to get back to you. I hope you have a great week. - Amy

A Girl's LifeThere's nothing wrong with feeling confident in yourself and everything you do. Dont let others make you feel belittled or worthless because you're not. Ask yourself why do you feel incompetent or not confident? and how are you going to change that?
I believe a part of life is facing up to challenges and it's how you tackle them depends on who you are and how you see the world. Being confident in yourself or your body should be hard to do. Because the way how society is now if you're not the ideal model with the right curves or hairstyle then you feel like you don't fit in. Well i say screw that. If you like what you look like then what's the point of changing. If you change yourself to be different, you still wont be happy in yourself and the problem will continue until you make yourself ill and disgrace yourself. Im talking to everyone about this issue not just females but males as well. Society nowadays targets everything at women and they forget males lie abuse against women and sexism. (If your would like a blog post about this leave a comment!) Males feel the same about body confidence or no confidence the same as women. In everyone's heads now you should look a certain way and if you don't then you change yourself to be the same. I know for a fact that everyone from time to time feels uncomfortable in their own skin. But you got to be happy in what you have, trust me i know its hard to accept yourself for who you are. I know personally i am a size 16 and yeah i used to feel not good, it got to the stage of changing in a toilet for PE so noone would see me. ive only recently within the last year developed this confidence and i do feel better about life. I looked at the things i liked and just ignored the rest and people have noticed i am happier. If you suffer from a lack of confidence i really hope this has helped make you feel better and if not then contact us and we can help: Or leave a comment, Thank you for reading. - Amy StaplesJust a little message or update.
So, i had an interview for staples and i got the job. Now the best thing to do is not worry. People tell you to practice answering the questions and have little mock interviews between your friends and family. My advice is don't do that, just be yourself, be professional and dont be afraid to have a laugh and smile. Show them you have a character inside of you. If you're stuck on what to say just ramble on about something else just to fill the silence. Remember to keep good eye contact but not too much to seem a bit weird and just enjoy yourself being there. For me personally i only got asked one question on just talking about myself, the best thing to do is just be friendly, and kind. I also had an Induction it isnt just you going to this induction there will be other people. You firstly get shows round where all the fire exits are, this takes about 10 minutes. You then next have to fill out all these documents to confirm everything, this takes about 20 mins. You then have a tour of the building and meet all the employees. You get shows the different ways of how to unlock the security tags and you may have a little go yourself. This altogether took up 2 hours. And just make things a little bit better i got paid. Thanks for reading and good luck with your job, or job interview. - Amy I feel like some people think that bullying can only happen to a certain type of person and that is totally wrong. Bullying can happen to anyone and it can be very scary. The worst thing you can thing is that its your own fault, its not and nobody deserves to be bullied. It can make you feel alone and isolated but you're not, reach out and talk to someone about it. It can be hard to remember the positive things about yourself when people are only pointing out the worst, just remember all the things you're good at. You're a valuable person. Surround yourself with people who love and care for you, it will help boost your confidence and make you feel good. Friends never fail to make you smile. I know about the whole "bullies are going through a hard time and that's why they bully" sometimes is hard to believe, happy people don't need to make others feel down to feel happy its the bullies with the problem. One thing that I thinks important is not to fight them back. Don't stoop down to their level. Get out of the situation and tell someone. If its cyber bullying don't reply to the nasty comment, screenshot them for evidence to show someone. If you're being bullied you need to tell someone, you don't deserve it and you can put an end to it. You're not alone and its not your fault. STOP Out Bullying is a really good site for advice and things to do. The link is here: STOP Out Bullying Telling somebody is super important and there's so many ways to do it, it could include:
Childline is a great support, I know everyone's thinking "Childline? That's for children" but it goes up to the age of 19 and has a great page on bullying here: bullying page Remember- you are NOT alone and people care about you. Nobody deserves to be bullied, if you know someone that's being bullied reach out and help them, I'm sure you would want the same. Personally i have been bullied from time to time, in many ways i think everyone has been through it or at least know a few people who has. Whether that's being bullied at school from name calling, or actually at work. I know many people associate bullying with just school children but it can happen to anyone at any age. -Emily & Amy Starting college So recently i have started college and i have to tell you don't worry about it. Now on the first day i was very nervous and excited. I only had to be there for one hour which i believe was really nice because it sort of broke the ice to college.
Its very different from school, for a start you get to call your teacher, sorry lecturer by their first name. Now this at first i really couldn't get to grips with. I kept on forgetting the lecturers name and forget who i was even sat by. The best thing to do is talk to new people. Don't be sitting there shy because no one will go up and talk to you. This is a new time to make new friends and enjoy yourself, not keeping to yourself and wanting to go home. The thing i have noticed considerably is that everyone is on their phone and i don't mean just a quick glance i mean constant eyes glued to the screen. Now as a person who doesn't have an iphone this can be a bit errr. Because you know whats it like if you don't have the latest phone or trainers you feel out of sync with everyone. Don't worry about it. No one is even bothered. Another thing i noticed was the amount of clothes you go through, when having a school uniform you already know what you was going to wear, when at college it is so hard. Because you're constantly thinking that isn't in fashion, or that doesn't look good on me. But to be honest here just be yourself, if you're overweight and have a crop top why not wear it. Or if you have nothing to wear apart from an old t shirt you go for it. Just be yourself and don't pretend to be someone else. If you don't have a job, don't worry about it. I cant be the only one whose mum is constantly on their back to find you a job, i'm not to bothered if i have a job or not. So just don't worry, if you're the same as me and you are applying but nothing is happening for you keep getting turned down, don't whatever you do get down about it. There's obviously another job you are meant for not the one you got turned down. If you're worried about if you're going to make friends or what type of people you are going to mix with, college is all about experiments and if you want to hang around people who are a lot different to you, try it. And one note of advice about work, keep up to date and if you don't understand something ask, don't worry if it sounds stupid, just ask because someone is also not understanding the subject the same as you. I hope this really helps anyone who is at or going to college soon. If you have any question sabout college all you have to do is comment your question and i will get back to you. I hope you have an amazing week. -Amy So you’re having a bad day? Everyone gets one sometimes, its how you deal with those bad days that are important. One main thing you have to remember is your worst day ever is only twenty four hours long and everything seems better the next day. Even if you have to go in small ten minute chunks and distract yourself from what’s going on that’s fine, you’ll get through it.
Don’t forget to breathe, all problems are valid no matter how big or small and there’s a lot of people out there willing to listen. Even if you haven’t spoken to a friend in a while I’m sure they would care and listen to you. Talking about things can lift a massive weight off your shoulders so try it, it could be a family member or a friend. If things are really bad maybe consider a counsellor or something like childline or 7 cups of tea (links below). Do things you’ve been meaning to do if you feel up to it, go and eat something, brush your hair, doing something this simple can make you feel so much better. Try listening to music you know will cheer you up and wrap a blanket around you and eat some chocolate. Have a nice warm bath and enjoy it, do something relaxing and try to take your mind off things. If this is the worst day, things can only get better. Think optimistically, you’ll get through this day and go on to have many, many better ones. Someone out there loves you and don’t forget that. Childline (up to the age of 19) 7 cups of tea -Emily We’ve recently entered my favourite season, autumn, and I’m going to talk about a few reasons why I love it so much. The trees look so pretty, all the leaves turn an orangey red colour and it’s beautiful, not mentioning how satisfying it is when they fall off and they’re crunchy when you step on them. When it’s cold it’s great to have a hot chocolate and warm up with blankets on, that’s really hard to do in summer if you don’t want to melt. You can get so cozy on the sofa and in bed with blankets. It’s the perfect excuse for hot drinks. You can also layer up your clothes which I also love, you can wear jackets and jumpers without feeling like you’re on fire. Some good TV comes back like the x factor and staying in and snuggling up with a good TV show or film is perfectly acceptable. Even the thought of reading a book tucked up in a blanket excites me. That’s why I love autumn so much and I hope everyone is exited as me for the coming months.
-Emily So, i thought what would be really nice to have on a blog was monthly favourites. Every month many youtubers do this and as im one for not being in front of the camera, i'll do it this way. Im going to start off with make up, so i have trouble with my lips. So any hint of a bold colour just overpowers my face and makes me look like a clown. But i have found a lipgloss that doesn't do this. So if you're like me then this coca cola lip balm cherry coloured, is perfect for you. It's a bit like that lipo stain thing where the colour of it is similar. Perfect for going into an autumn look.
Nail polish is a new thing for me as well. I've never been one to look after my nails or even consider doing so, but after prom that all changed. I had small false nails on for the night and i really didn't want them to ever come off, they made me feel like elegant and just... I have recently bought the primark own brand nail polish and i have to say they are alright. Not brilliant quality but for 80p what can you expect. The colour it quite runny but all it takes is about two coates of the stuff and away you go. I bought the baby pink and baby blue and these two colours really are quite something. Now for what i love, food. Recently i was shopping with my mum and nan in iceland and i came across a new pizza in there. Now there's nothing better than stuffed crust, but it has to be cheese stuffed crust. It is soooo lovely. So i saw the pizza because we usually had the chicago town pizza but recently it became very spicy and as for one to be needing a drink for a chicken tikka masala curry. You can imagine how many times i had to have a drink. So this iceland pizza is brilliant and for quite a low price. All you got to do is add the toppings you want of the pizza or just leave it as it is. Now onto drink. Now i'm not one for drinking every night like every other teenager and then bragging about it when they meet up with their friends just to seem cool. I really like water, there i said it. But i do, and what better way to have water but to have flavoured water. Now literally any supermarket sells them for like 60p a bottle, it's a bargain. There's nothing better than the sun shinning down in the back garden and i'm sat there with a book and a my mason jar flavored water. Tv series i absolutely love, and if you watch the same ones as me then we will be talking for hours. So now then my brother has recently introduced me into a new tv series, well its kinda new. "Bad education" is such a brilliant show. I find it hilarious especially with Jack Whitehall in it, as for watching fresh meat as well, its really good. Another tv show to watch recently, yes you guessed it "pretty little liars" so the season final, the latest episode, was absolutely amazing, it had me glued to the tv whilst i was actually writing this down in my notebook. Just, you have to watch it. Thank you for reading and i hope you have a lovely morning, day, evening, wherever you are in the world. Amy |
